Description
Fireguard is a “Protected” Fire Rated above ground storage tank with projectile, impact resistant and stream hose test ratings. This is a steel double wall aboveground storage tank with interstitial monitoring capabilities and a 2-hour fire rating. It can be built in horizontal and vertical configurations. These tanks may also be built with or without multiple compartments for multiple fuel storage. Each tank contains 3 inches of light-weight insulation material which has 75% less weight than traditional concrete insulations 300 to 50,000 gallon capacity
A UL2085 Fireguard tank is a tank registered with the Steel Tank Institute and only available from a STI member. The Fireguard tank is a double wall tank that contains insulation between the inner and outer tank protecting the product from ambient temperature variations and exceeds the UL 2-hour fire test.
Fireguard is the only tank that meets all of the following standards:
- 1.UL 2085 listed "Protected Tank"
- 2.Ballistics and Impact protection per UL 2085
- 3.Both the inner and outer steel tanks are built to UL standards
- 4.National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) 30 & 30A
- 5.International Fire Code (IFC)
- 6.California air Resources Board (CARB). Standing loss control testing requirements for air emissions
- 7.Steel Tank Institute (STI) stand F941 for Thermally Insulated Aboveground Storage Tanks
- 8.Built to the nationally recognized STI standards with strict third-party quality control inspection program
- 300 to 50,000 gallon capacity
- Underwriters Laboratories Construction, UL-142 and UL-2085
- Secondarily contained, Ballistics and Impact tested
- Also available in rectangular constructions up to 24,000 gallons
- Available with multiple compartments for multiple fuel storage
